ITALIAN COFFEE MACHINE COLLECTOR –
MR. MALTONI - WINS THE SCAE COFFEE AWARD 2006

It was a great achievement for Mr. Maltoni to win the first and unique SCAE award 2006 in the category "Young Entrepreneur Award". The ceremony took place last Saturday, 20th of May, in Bern - Switzerland during the international SCAE World of Coffee event hosted in the charming halls of the old city Casino.

The young Italian collector of espresso coffee machines - Mr. Maltoni - has been awarded with the prestigious coffee award in the category of young entrepreneurs, routing the other top 5 nominees, all coming from Europe.
The prize SCAE Special Coffee Association of Europe – Excellence of coffee, category The Young Entrepreneur Award, has been awarded to Mr. Maltoni by the Association vice-president, Massimiliano Fabian.

For over 16 years, Mr. Maltoni, 36 yo, has created the largest collection in the world of Italian espresso coffee machines. With his collection, Enrico Maltoni intends to spread, preserve and awaken the public about the history of espresso coffee machines, mainly characterized by the Italian design tradition.
After landing in Thailand, Turkey, Greece, Israel, Venezuela, Russia and in various Italian cities, the project of the travelling exhibition Espresso Made in Italy: history, culture, design has reached its 28th destination in so far.

Talent, great energy and devotion for the excellence of coffee have been identified as precious and valuable qualities in the young dynamic Italian collector - so important as to be worth the first and unique award in the Young Entrepreneur category.

Objective of the prestigious Association is to provide the right recognition to the success of individuals, without awarding "the best", but showing appraisal for those who have the courage, the imagination or merely "that something" which allows them to excel in the pursuing of coffee excellence and to distinguish themselves in the coffee industry, apart from their status or origin.
