THE COFFEE MACHINES
OF ENRICO MALTONI'S COLLECTION
ARE DOCKING ALONG THE RIVER THAMES BANKS
After the great success of the exhibition in St. Petersburg last April, Mr. Maltoni's Collection of espresso coffee machines is now heading towards a new destination. This time, from 18th to 26th November 2006, the Collection will travel to London, and will be hosted by the prestigious Bramah Tea and Coffee Museum. This initiative is possible thanks to the sponsorship of the research programme “Cultures of Consumption”, which for two years has been exploring the cultural aspects related to the coffee industry and consumption.

TRIESTE - from 31st of October to 5th of November
Espresso made in Italy 1901-2006. This is the title of the important exhibition of espresso coffee machines from Enrico Maltoni's private Collection, in cooperation with Franco Bazzara, which is to take place in the hall of Trieste's Chamber of Commerce from 31st of October to 5th of November. A collection of rare pieces of design telling the history of over 100 years of Italian bar coffee machine evolution through the presentation of 20 coffee machine models. The exhibition - free entry - is open every day from 10 am to 7 pm to coincide with TriestEspresso Expo, programmed from 3rd to 5th of November at the Fiera di Trieste.

MADE IN ITALY - ENRICO MALTONI - WAS THE MAIN GUEST AT THE PROGRAM "IN OUT" BROADCAST BY THE INTERNET CHANNEL ROSSOALICE.IT.
"IN OUT" is a program conducted by Marina La Rosa which every day focuses on a different topic, offering advise and suggestions to its
audience.
The program has also seen the participation - by phone - of Maria Linardi and Manuel Terzi - co-author together with Enrico Maltoni of the book entitled "Il Libro completo del caffè" edited by DeAgostini, available in every bookshop.

ITALIAN COFFEE MACHINE COLLECTOR –
MR. MALTONI - WINS THE SCAE COFFEE AWARD 2006
It was a great achievement for Mr. Maltoni to win the first and unique SCAE award 2006 in the category "Young Entrepreneur Award". The ceremony took place last Saturday, 20th of May, in Bern - Switzerland during the international SCAE World of Coffee event hosted in the charming halls of the old city Casino.

Coffee machines sail the seas.
From 2nd to 16th of May, the largest collection of espresso coffee machines in the world "sail the seas" on board of one of the most prestigious cruising ships.
In cooperation with Silversea and Lavazza, Enrico Maltoni's Collection sets sail from Venice and, after touching the attractive cities of Ravenna, Dubrovnik, Taormina, Amalfi and Portofino, it finally berths in the exclusive coast of Monte Carlo.

From 19th to 28th April 2006,
old "silver-clad ladies" will show off at the Design & Art Gallery of St. Petersburg - they are espresso coffee machines.
Thanks to an idea of the greatest world collector of coffee machines, Mr. Maltoni, it will be possible to see the most important and prestigious models of bar coffee machines through the exhibition of 24 treasures - perfectly restored and functioning -, which from 1901 to 2006 have contributed to make the made-in-Italy famous all over the world.
These coffee “ladies” bear the name of great Italian architects and designers: from Gio Ponti to Enzo Mari, from Bruno Munari to the brothers Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso.

From 3rd December 05 to 26th March 06
“The weight of a good coffee” will be the title of the exhibition presenting espresso coffee machines produced from 1901 till present day. The exhibition will be held at the “Museo della Bilancia” in Campogalliano – Modena from 3rd of December to 26th of March.
True masterpieces of Italian engineering and mechanics will be shown to visitors in an extraordinary path starting from the most ancient Roman balance to electronic models. The visit will also include high-value bar coffee machines dating back to the beginning of the 20th century and models manufactured by the greatest Italian designers: Gio Ponti, Bruno Munari, Achille e Piergiacomo Castiglioni and Marco Zanuso, to quote just a few.

At the Second Edition of the San Patrignano food festival the old ladies of “Espresso made in Italy 1901-1962” will make their appearance – the only Italian collection of espresso coffee machines telling the evolution of espresso between technology and design.
