Three friends are engaged to three sisters whom they will soon marry. One of the friends (Tognazi) learns that there is a residential area where flats are ready to be bought and paid by bills. To save money, the three married couples pretend to go to a honeymoon to Naples and after a night on the train they discover the consequences of the thieving activity of a dishonest builder. Their flats have been seized. When everything seems to produce only exasperation for all the protagonists, a different solution occurs. The new state building policy arrives: “a brick for everyone”. This is the initiative which this comedy propagandises as the public solution to the Italian “house problem”. Meanwhile the police try to capture those who have taken advantage of the situation.
